Client and Operations Manager

Full-Time Abuja On-Site

About the role

As our Client and Operations Manager, you will serve as a key link between our clients, management, and the production team. You will manage client communication throughout the order journey while keeping a close eye on the progress, quality, and execution of projects inside the factory.

We are looking for someone who does not simply wait for problems to be reported. You should be the kind of person who notices that an order is falling behind, investigates why, follows up with the relevant team, and escalates the issue before it becomes a problem for the client. You will need to be equally comfortable having a professional conversation with a fashion brand founder and walking through the production floor to understand what is happening with their order.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, commercially aware, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across both client management and production operations.

Key responsibilities

Client management

  • Own day-to-day client communication from onboarding through production and delivery.
  • Coordinate discovery calls, requirements, approvals, feedback and project updates.
  • Build strong client relationships while managing expectations and timelines.
  • Keep client and order information accurate and up to date.

Operations and production

  • Coordinate client orders across development, sampling, production and delivery.
  • Work closely with the production and technical teams to keep projects on schedule.
  • Regularly monitor the production floor and identify delays, bottlenecks, material issues or other operational concerns.
  • Ensure client requirements and approved specifications are clearly communicated and followed.

Quality oversight

  • Support and monitor QC processes across production.
  • Conduct regular spot checks and flag defects, inconsistencies or issues requiring attention.
  • Follow up on rework and ensure quality concerns are resolved before completion.

Coordination and reporting

  • Keep clients, production teams and management aligned throughout each project.
  • Provide clear updates on project progress, risks and outstanding issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is organized, proactive and highly accountable.

You should be someone who naturally asks:

  • What is happening?
  • Why isn't this done?
  • What needs to happen next?
  • Who is responsible?
  • When will it be completed?

You should have:

  • 2 to 4+ years of experience in client management, operations, project coordination, production coordination or a related role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership.
  • Confidence communicating with both clients and internal teams.
  • Comfort working in a hands-on production environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.

Experience in any of the following would be a strong advantage:

  • Fashion
  • Garment production
  • Apparel manufacturing
  • Fashion operations
  • Textile production
  • Product development
  • Production management
  • Quality control
  • Fashion merchandising

A candidate with a combination of client management and fashion/production experience would be ideal.

The person we're looking for

Beyond qualifications, we're looking for someone who is:

  • Detail-oriented You notice things others overlook.
  • Proactive You identify problems before they become emergencies.
  • Organized You can manage multiple projects without losing track of details.
  • Assertive You're comfortable following up and holding people accountable professionally.
  • A strong communicator You can communicate clearly with clients, production staff and management.
  • Hands-on You're comfortable spending time on the production floor rather than managing everything from behind a desk.
  • Commercially aware You understand that delays, mistakes, waste and rework have a direct impact on a business.
  • Solutions-oriented You don't just report a problem. You think about how it can be resolved.

What success looks like

Within this role, success means that:

  • Clients receive timely and professional communication.
  • Orders are properly tracked from start to finish.
  • Production issues are identified early.
  • Deadlines are actively managed.
  • Quality issues are caught before garments reach the client.
  • Internal teams have the information they need to execute orders correctly.
  • Management has clear visibility into what is happening across the business.
  • Problems are resolved quickly rather than repeatedly escalated.
  • Clients have confidence that their orders are being handled professionally.

Ultimately, we want you to become someone management can trust to say:

I know what's happening with our clients, I know what's happening in production, and I'll let you know when something needs your attention.

Compensation and benefits

₦200,000 to ₦250,000 / month
Depending on experience and demonstrated capability
  • Monthly data and communication allowance.
  • 20 days paid annual leave.
  • Performance-based bonus tied to individual and company performance.
